What drew you to a career in the insights industry?
→ “I fell into insights by accident really. When I left uni I planned to go travelling until a friend suggested I should get some work experience on my CV first so I could hit the ground running when I came back. I went to work as an intern at a research agency for what was supposed to be a month, but I ended up loving it and stayed there for 3 years. 11 years later, here I am.” -Sam
How has your experience been working with SBX?
→ “Impossible to summarise, but let's give it a go. It's been amazing to be at the forefront of the development of a truly disruptive insights tool. Building and shaping the solution into the what it is today, and seeing how it is continuously impacting our clients and the work they do has been very rewarding. Every project is unique, and I myself learn something new every day. Truly a great experience.” - Ella

What does your day-to-day look like?
→ My day-to-day is extremely varied...I may be discussing one project on food consumption in the morning, then the next minute I'm managing a survey for a major tech company. Then I may spend the afternoon meeting new clients and refining their briefs or focussing on developing our product to better meet our customer needs. Every hour and every day is entirely different from the one before... I love it!” -Sophie
What’s your favourite thing about your job?
→ “I think the variety. I get to work with a variety of clients in a variety of categories across a range of projects. It keeps things interesting and definitely means I've broadened my skill set. I also love building product functionalities, features and archetypes with the team, and seeing these get used by clients. It's so rewarding. Things move quickly in SBX and it's amazing to see the continuous development and impact it has.” -Ella
What do you think the future of research looks like?
→ “I can't imagine a world where AI doesn't become our bread and butter. It has literally propelled us in terms of our capabilities and the speed at which we can do things.” -Sophie
If not working in research, what else would you love to do?
→ “Open a microbrewery” -Sam
When you’re not working what are you doing?
→ “READING! But when my head is not in a book, I spend quality time with my loved ones, on a nice walk, or at the pub ;)” -Ella
